Inner Tubes
When ordering replacement tyres, it is easy to overlook what is often the most important part... Does it need an inner tube? At Terrain Tyres we have a vast selection of inner tubes for all applications. We carry smaller size tubes for wheel barrows, mobility scooters and smaller garden mowers in a variety of different valve types, including bent valve that may be necessary to fit on smaller rims. We also carry all standard turf tyre sized inner tubes for use in ride-on tractors, tractor mowers and golf buggies. These tubes are also very popular for use in agricultural machinery such as tedders and hay rakes. We also carry inner tubes for use in small road trailers, through to the largest of implement and agricultural trailers.
Our most popular category of tubes is without a doubt, our tractor and industrial tube selection. We stock all sizes of tractor inner tubes and in a variety of different valve types from air & water, through to specialist long stem bent metal valves. As with all of our products, we only sell quality tubes from established brands. We are aware that there are cheaper tubes in the market, but we believe the downtime involved in puncture repairs and changing tubes, is far more costly than just fitting a higher quality tube in the first place. Our team of advisors are more than happy to discuss your inner tube requirements and have experience in all inner tube requirements, including tubes used for floating down a river or use in a pool!
Possibly one of the most confusing parts of choosing the correct inner tube for you application, is getting the correct valve type. We do specify the valve type in our inner tube product titles, but appreciate that this may not make much sense to many of our customers. Below we have tried to provide a brief outline of the different valves types we sell and what they mean.
There are two main categories of valve types to begin:
Straight Valve Inner Tubes & Bent Valve Inner Tubes. This refers to how the valve stem looks when it comes out of the rim when installed. Most people are quite used to seeing a straight valve stem as that is what you would expect to see when filling your car tyres with air or pumping up your bicycle tyres (we know there are exceptions to this!). There are also bent valve inner tubes which are usually metal and these exit the rim and then bend at various angles and lengths. Bent valve tubes are primarily used in applications where access to the valve is restricted and generally makes the inflation process easier.
Below is a list of all the types of valve that we currently offer on inner tubes:
